1. Identifying Experience Values
Value research provides foundation to all subsequent phases of research and design of innovative solutions. It is to uncover human values, desires and needs that we can ground the design and development of meaningful and humane experiences enabled by emerging technologies.
Digital and social ethnography to uncover insights on user behaviors and desires
Humanities-based research to understand human values
Emerging technologies research and mapping to understand the technological landscape
Converged Insights mapping as a foundation for design innovation and opportunity identification
2. Imagining Futures
Synthesis of primary and secondary research brings to identifying opportunities and envisioning of experience scenarios to illustrate the potentials of these opportunities. What are the key enablers, drivers, and disruptors of these future scenarios, and how will it affect the lives of different generations?
3. Conceptualizing Experiences
Here, we focus on bringing future visions and research insights into product and service concepts. We believe that successful products / services are enabled by a holistic design that touch upon human emotions and values at all interaction points.
Innovative product, service, and engagement experiences
Ecosystem mapping, user scenarios, and identifying key offerings
4. Prototyping Ideas
Prototyping enables communication of ideas by having tangible forms. Identifying the goals of the prototyping activity should always take place as it can inform the type of prototype (e.g. experiential, functional, technical, emotional) to produce and the indicators/metrics (e.g. feasibility, scalability, user acceptance).
Scoping goals, intentions, and indicators for measurement of successful prototypes
Making ideas tangible through development of experience prototypes
Evaluating ideas through bodystorming and deployment of prototypes
